Back by popular demand, we present to you our Countdown to the 4th calendar! We are huge believers that if we want to raise the next generation of citizens to be patriotic and civically engaged, we need to talk about our country on more than just Independence Day. Plus, our children should know exactly what happened on the 4th of July (it’s not always what people think) and why we celebrate it.
The rest of June, leading up to the 4th of July, can be filled with patriotic activities and discussions. The goal is to help get your families ready to celebrate a meaningful Independence Day. So print off the calendar below and have fun crossing off each day after you’ve done the suggested prompt. And if the ones listed here don’t work for your family, feel free to add in your own.
