Biden-Trump Mud Pie

November 2, 2020

We thought we’d push aside all the political mudslinging from your feed and opt for something better instead: mud pie. More specifically, Biden-Trump Mud Pie.

We combined one of Donald Trump’s favorite foods (Oreos) with one of Joe Biden’s favorite foods (peanut butter ice cream) for a little Election Day treat. Enter the Biden-Trump Mud Pie. Whip it up and have a sweet treat for what might be a long Election night. I think it’s safe to say everyone could use a little extra sweetness right now.

Oreo cookies are on Donald Trump’s fav snack food list. In fact, Air Force One is regularly stocked with Oreos, despite Trump’s love-hate relationship with them in the past.

As for Joe Biden, it’s no secret that the former VP loves ice cream. Back in April it was reported his campaign had spent more than $10,000 on ice cream so far. There’s even a Tumblr page dedicated to his obsession. One of his favorite flavors is peanut butter.

Even if we don’t always see eye to eye on policies, life is so much sweeter when we combine our efforts for good. No more mudslinging. Just mud pie.

Oreo Crust

  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Ice Cream Filling

  • 1/2 gallon peanut butter ice cream (or flavor of your choice)

  3. Bake crust for 8 minutes. Cool completely. Place in freezer.
  4. FOR ICE CREAM FILLING: Scoop ice cream into a bowl and stir until it’s soft and smooth. Spread over the Oreo crust. Cover and freeze for several hours or overnight.
  5. When ready to serve, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla in a small bowl till soft peaks form.
  6. FOR GANACHE: In a microwave proof bowl pour in your chocolate chips and whipping cream and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring well in between, for up to two minutes. Don’t overheat.
  7. Once smooth, toss in your butter and stir until blended and smooth. Mix in your vanilla and a pinch of salt.
  8. Drizzle pie with chocolate ganache sauce (or hot fudge sauce of your choice), then top with whipped cream and additional cookie crumbs if desired.
